STATEMENT: I don’t trust the Alaska Legislature – and when I listen to our neighbors, I recognize that I’m not alone. All of us are frustrated by the foot dragging on tough anti-crime legislation while crime in our neighborhoods skyrockets. None of us can afford the runaway costs of endless and pointless Legislative Special Sessions. Our families are hurting thanks to legislators who played politics with our Permanent Fund Dividend and cut it by over two thirds. We have every right to be worried that reckless and wasteful new tax plans will threaten our future.

The Alaska Legislature is on the wrong track. Only our votes to elect responsible new legislators will turn it around.

We made a strong start in the Primary Election. Seven incumbent legislators were defeated for re- nomination by challengers who shared our frustration. I am honored to be one of them. District 15 voters who chose the Republican Ballot selected me to be their nominee instead of our incumbent Representative Gabrielle LeDoux by a 67% – 33% margin. Now, I respectfully request your vote In in the General Election to continue this momentum for responsible change.

With your support, I will work to put the brakes on runaway government spending, place a tough new spending cap as well as protection for the PFD into the Alaska Constitution, enact and enforce laws that will get criminals off our streets and out of our neighborhoods, and put every measure to raise taxes or create new taxes to a vote of the people.

I moved to Muldoon when I went to work on JBER as a contractor supporting the Missile Defense Agency. I’m proud to be part of our community here because we believe in the values that built both Alaska and our Nation: patriotism, families, faith, free enterprises, limited government, and liberty. I want to put those values to work as your new State Representative. That’s why I would be honored and grateful that when you vote – by Absentee Ballot, or early voting, or at your polling place on November 3 – you fill in the oval next to my name.
